Contractor Induction - CBT29

This training course is for contractors, supervisors, temporary workers, and workers in any industrial company, perhaps as a precursor to more detailed formal training.

This package provides basic training on site alarms, protective equipment, manual handling and guidance on how to work in a safe, environmentally friendly manner.

As with all of our productions, we can add your site specific information for a minimal charge, depending on the extent of the work.

You will be able to:

• Gain a basic awareness level of health, safety and environmental training.
• Understand the key issues whilst working in both office and industrial situations.
• Understand your responsibilities whilst working on site.
• Meet the legal requirement to be trained in safe working practices

This training package contains:

• Information on legislation, fire alarms, lifting and handling, PPE and the environment.
• Guidance on how employers must assess the work on site and produce a risk assessment where a hazard could exist.
• Information on safety or hazard signs around the workplace.
• COSHH information and regulations for contractors dealing with hazardous chemicals.
• What to do in the event of a site emergency.
• Firm advice for contractors on how to adopt good environmental practices.
