Health and Safety in the Office - CBT20

This training course is for managers, health and safety officers, supervisors, risk managers and all office based staff in the company.

This training includes guidance on how to maintain accident free offices by looking at signs, storage, equipment, emergency alarms, office layout and working procedures.

You will be able to:

• Know the main aspects of office health and safety
• See how good office layout can promote productivity
• Understand your company's commitment to health and safety
• Prevent yourself becoming a statistic in a serious office accident
• Know how to work safely and to maintain the safety of others.
  

This training package contains:

• An overview of the main legal issues and your employer and your own responsibilities surrounding health and safety issues in the office
• Guidance on how to prevent accidents in the office
• Firm advice which is not compulsory but which would be considered as reasonably practicable
• Location - Signs, lighting, noise, ventilation and storage
• Equipment - Appliances, DSE, hand tools, lifting and handling
• Substances - COSHH, fire risks, fire precautions
• People - first aid, hygiene and welfare, training
• Total running time around 35 minutes
