This training course is for managers, supervisors, fire officers, and all personnel who may be involved in a fire emergency. This training package deals with the nature of fire, emergency procedures and what you should do if you hear the alarm or a fire is detected. Using the wrong type of extinguisher can make the situation worse, so it's vital to be aware of the correct procedures. This package applies to all office, commercial or industrial buildings.

• Details on the new portable fire extinguisher scheme and actions to be taken following the discovery of a fire.
• Information on what you may be required to do in the event of a fire emergency.
• An explanation of the different types of fire extinguisher that you may see on site.
• Information on convection, conduction and radiation.
• Guidance on how to put out a small fire.
