COSHH Awareness - CBT05

This training course is for managers, environmental officers, health and safety officers, machinery operators, and anyone who comes into contact with substances which can be hazardous to health in their everyday work. This training package will introduce the COSHH Regulations 2004, identifying hazards, weighing up risks arising from them and deciding what further action you need to take if the risks are significant - which all staff need to be aware of.

You will be able to:

• Understand what COSHH means and what it covers
• Understand the need for formal assessments, prevention or control of exposure, monitoring, health surveillance, use and maintenance of control measures, and information and training.
• Understand the difference between a risk and a hazard.
• Ensure that you are properly informed on hazardous substances.
• Be aware of the new requirements to observe principles of good practice for the control of exposure to substances hazardous to health (2004 Amendments)
